I played them in the order I bought them the first time through. KH1, KH2, RE: Coded, RE: Chain of Memories, 3D. 358/2 days, BBS. Now I play them in order of release.

For the most part I played them in release order, with the exception of CoM/Re:CoM which I went back to only after I finished Re:coded.

I played them in the order they came out in.

Nah i always play them in a random order.

Sorta kinda in release order except for Rechain. KH1, Kh2, KH1Fm, kh2fm, 358/2 days, birth by sleep, Rechain of memories, Recoded, BBSFM, DDD, 1.5, 2.5

Mostly random- what I can get- I get together the 1-2, then when I bought the bbs when I found in the store, and I get the other parts in the HD collections.

No particular order.

Days - re:coded - KH2 - 1.5 ReMIX - 2.5 ReMIX.

I mostly played them in the order they were released, with the exception of Kingdom Hearts II and Chain of Memories. I had finished KH1 and before I wanted to get KH2 I learned of Chain of Memories. I wanted to play that first, but then my younger brother just up and rented KH2 from Blockbuster out of nowhere! Now this was back when he was a gaming novice so eventually it came to the point where I had to help him out...only to wind up finding myself so engrossed in the game that I completed the whole thing...so yeah. Otherwise though, I've been doing a good job staying in order of release.

Although Chronological order sounds like it makes the most sense, I feel that the Release order is the best one to follow, as that way you get to follow the thought process that went behind the plot's development, and in some cases it makes the plot more relevant. For instance, it makes more sense to play BbS after KH2 and Days rather than right before KH1, as those two games had BbS in mind a lot more, where as KH1 didn't even think of it yet, meaning that they teased it more. It's kind of like an anime order, where the main story starts things off, but later seasons can delve into backstory arcs or mid-series arcs. Like Bleach only with not as much filler.

I think I've played them all chronologically except for CoM, which I beat after I played 358. I first played KHI when it first came out, though I never beat it until years later, then the next KH game I played was KHII when it first released, again, didn't beat it until years later. After 2006, I didn't end up playing KH again until I borrowed both KHI and II from my cousin and beat them both, then played 358 on DS, then Re:CoM sometime after that. After Days, I saved up my money for a PSP, bought and beat BBS before it broke, then Coded on DS.

Once I beat Coded some time in 2011-2012, I didn't pick up another KH game until 1.5 came out a couple years later and from there, 2.5. Not long after, my sister ended up buying a 3DS so I bought DDD and beat that. Now, I've played and beaten them all and am probably not going to have a PS4 when KHIII releases, but we'll see. I'll probably see what Unchained X is about...

Random order over here (kinda): CoM, 358, Re:Coded, BbS, 3D, 1, 2, Re:CoM, Chi, 2.5 (although I played it at a friend's house and got barely further than awakening Sora in 2FM lel)

I played KH2 first, but it was a rental and I didn't get very far.

In order of completion:

358/2 Days

2

1

CoM

Re:Coded

DDD

BbS

So yeah, probably not the best order to do it, but I enjoyed them all nonetheless. :)

On my first playthroughs, I went in order of release. Then, I went ahead and played them in chronological order according to the storyline!

Random order, because some idiot had me convinced KH II was KH I with different artwork.

I played them KH: CoM (GBA), KH, KH:358/2 DAYS, KH II, BBS, Coded, DDD

I got the games when they came out (or in the same year they came out) and then that means I played them all by release. But now I usually play them in the order of when the games happened in the story, or I just pick a random game and play it!

I played (or watched a Let's Play of) them in story order with the exception of Birth by Sleep.

I played them randomly because I dont own a ds or 3ds but since 1.5 and 2.5 ive been playing chronologically

I played Kh1 , Kh2 , recoded, birth by sleep, rechain, 365/2 days then ddd now I play chronological order

At first, I played the KH games in the order they released, and then, after having played through all the games, I then played them chronologically! :3

When I first discovered the game, I played 2 before any other. I WAS SO CONFUSED!! Then I went back and played 1 along with Re:CoM then chronologically after that.

I played them all in such a weird way.

358/2 days

Birth by Sleep

Dream Drop Distance

Re Coded

Kingdom Hearts 1

Kingdom Hearts 2

I was introduced to KHI by my cousin when I was about 3 or 4 years old,

But I didn't exactly know what she was showing me so I only played with her because I saw Disney characters.

Then I never played ever again until after KHII was released. Saw it at Target and I pretty much begged my mom to get it because I remembered it when I played with my cousin so yup :D

* Basically the real order I played it was:

KHII > KH358/2 Days > KHBBS > KHRE:Coded > KHI > KHDDD > KH1.5 Remix { along with my first time playing COM } > KHChi > KH2.5 Remix

I did know about the first one when I first played KHII, but I never got the chance to actually buy it years later since it was old so I watched gameplay of it until I got it from GameStop pre-owned.

Same goes for COM except I didn't got the chance to get the old copy, but I'm happy I played it in 1.5 xD

Started playing KH1, played KH2 when it came out, finally finished KH1, played Days, played Dream Drop Distance, played Birth by Sleep. I never played Chain of Memories or Coded, and I don't intend to. I don't think Unchained Chi counts but I might play that.

lol no. I played 3D first then like Re:coded which led into BBS and Days side-by-side and eventually the console games.

I played 1, CoM, and 2 in order. I didn't play another one until BBS, then I played DDD after that. I only recently played Days, and have never played Re:Coded, so it's a bit of a mix.
