No way, I was literally thinking about Iwata asks earlier today. Damn this year is depressing. Far too young to go, RIP

That's Sad...he will be missed.  :(

No... :( Man, that's sad...

I haven't been fully playing my Tomodachi Life game and I have his Mii in the game....

R.I.P.

I had to just log into a game and someone megaphoned it. さよなら

This is so heartbreaking. I know he hasn't been the best in terms of health as of late, but I didn't think it would be this bad. Iwata's affect on Nintendo and all of gaming in general is something you don't get everyday and will leave an everlasting mark on just how much he was able to bring with innovative and fresh ideas for an audience he cared so deeply about as much as they cared about him.

Wow, really? Never expected him to die so soon...

Rest in peace, Iwata. You shall be missed.

I saw this at r/amiibo and though it was a troll post. Boy when I went on FB, guess who was trending? (In the matter of minutes to boot.)

Despite of how he was handling things, this was the last thing he needed. At least he did a good job throughout the past years.

RIP

Holy crap. I didn't expect this to happen, and he was so young.

R.I.P. Iwata.

This is just horrible.

Wow, that is terrible. I can;t believe out of all people, it would be him. Damn, I am gonna miss him

That is just terribly shocking. Condolences to his family and to Ninetendo, he was the heart and soul of that company. I just really don't know how to react to this...

What makes this even more sad (To me) is that yesterday was one of my cousins birthday. Now i'm sad ;(

RIP Iwata.

He helped many games happen. He didn't let some to just be forggotten even if the previous game in the series wasn't sucessful. I'm sure he was a great man. My condolscenes to everyone. RIP Satoru Iwata.

He was the head of a company that helped shape my childhood and fuel my imagination, and for that I thank you. RIP

T^T This harshed my mellow...

Holy hell no way... It's crazy to see such a well known man in the Nintendo community die. RIP dude... You will be missed

Too young. I didn't realize how sick he was. Rest in peace.

Wait, what, he's dead!? :O  Okay, is it just me, or are many people in the video game/movie industry dying too much lately? D:  This is just sad!  May Mr. Iwata rest in peace! :(

they're all getting older

I knew he was sick, but I had no idea it was even close to being this bad. It's just so sudden. I can still hardly believe it.

I may not have known the man personally, but he was responsible for much of the joy I've had in my life. Some of my best memories come from playing Nintendo games. Nintendo was also one of the few things that helped me get through the phase of my life where I had crippling social anxiety and no friends; I'm not sure who I'd be today if I didn't have my DS and Pokemon games during middle school. All of this was, in some way, guided by Iwata. He's helped bring joy to so many others as well. He had charm and personality. Perhaps his business decisions weren't always the best, but I believe the good he's done far outweighs the bad.

Though I know he can't see it, thank-you Iwata. May you rest in peace.

I had to really see from 5 sources to tell if this was actually the same person. He was so great in directs and such, and he was so fun. I'll really really miss him.
