Why did you first decide to play Kingdom Hearts?

For it was The Grid world that convinced me to check it out.  What about you?

Well, I put down that I watched a relative play it. Well, she wasn't exactly a relative. She was just my mom's friend, and I would go over to her place all the time as a kid. And one day, she was playing Kingdom Hearts. Naturally, I thought it looked cool. And yeah, ever since then I've been a fan!

A friend of mine played it and encouraged me to try it out, so then we could play multiplayer (it was Days).

I got it on my like 7th birthday. I'm not from english-talking country so when I started playing I didn't know what to do. :D

It wasn't exactly my decision to first play it haha. My older cousins forced me to play it, because they didn't like me playing GTA on their PS2(they thought GTA wasn't age appropriate for me, can you believe that? xP )  So yeah, I was forced to play Kingdom Hearts the first time, but it all worked out because I ended up enjoying it, and it got me into the rest of the series. :)

I saw it in a store, read on the back that it was a mix of Disney and Final Fantasy, and I subsequently convinced my parents to buy it for me for the holidays. It was either KH1 or Donald Duck Quack Attack, and I am now very glad I chose the former.

When my brother first started playing the series, he tried playing KH1, but failed AT FIRST! He then played 358/2 Days and I watched him play it; It looked fun, plus I wanted to play the Multiplayer as well, but ended up hardly doing that. He then played KH2, and then Birth By Sleep. I saw Ven, and I knew for a fact I HAD to play that.

So I was introduced by my brother into the series, and I played 358 Days and BbS for the first time, and I felt that DEEP connection with Roxas, then RECONNECTED with Ventus. There was this odd feeling that told me that I needed to know more, therefore I continued to play the rest of the series!

If anything, I owe it to my brother. If he hadn't gotten into the series and then introduced it to me, I don't know WHAT I would be. I might've never felt any concern or care towards others. And I might've also never liked Tales of Xillia, Digimon, Final Fantasy, all of them. But, it was planned for me to meet Kingdom Hearts. Thank you, Bro. >.<

So in conclusion, my brother got me into the series. And I got into it because of not just enjoyment, but for my sake, and to truly learn who I am as well.

Rock on!

It was the game the lady at the counter recommend when my mum bought me a PS2 for my 7th birthday back in 2004. So obviously, it was the first installment to the series that introduced me to KH.

I saw my cousin play it once and I thought it was really cool because it had Donald Duck in it. For some reason I never really thought about the game for a couple of months untill I saw a video about it on youtube. And suddenly I wanted to have the game no matter what. I got it and I loved it from the moment i heard Dearly Beloved.

Reason not listed above: I'd heard of it, and DAYS had just come out, and the one short trailer I saw peaked my interest. The  gamestore only had CoM on GBA, so I started there, played it through in about a month, and that's how it all started.

(It just seemed really cool didn't seem like a good description of that)

I decided to play Kingdom Hearts because the Kingdom Hearts commercials blew me away! The music Simple and Clean playing, watching Donald and Goofy with other Disney Characters, and some unknown character (Sora) going along with the adventure with a giant Key weapon. Man 2002 impact me so damn hard and I love it!

I really need to keep track of how many times I've reiterated this.

I was looking up Final Fantasy VII vids on YouTube and came across an animation of Reno and Axel. With zero knowledge of who Axel was, I looked him up. This led me to the discovery KH. I looked at the developers/publishers/etc. and saw Square Enix. At the time I always thought Square never made a bad game, thus, Kingdom Hearts would be a good game/series (even if I thought the Disney part would make it really kiddy). I looked up which console(s) the game(s) were on. IIRC, it was up to either Days or BBS. I took a look at Days and tried it out. Loved it.

tl;dr: The link between FF and KH / Reno and Axel.

My father gave it to my sister and me as a present since we were 'Disney Kids'. It was right when the game first came out so I was around 2 years old. We bonded over Kingdom Hearts and my earliest memories are of us playing KH1. It's pretty much had a presence throughout my entire life.

Little did my father know he doomed me to the eternal pit of KH Hell. :D

I remember seeing commercials for the very first game way back when. To me it looked absolutely amazing and I had to have it!

However, when I finally got it for that Christmas, I sucked and had it collecting dust. It wasn't until a friend let me borrow 358 that I decided I had to give this series another chance. So, I went back and replayed the first one, and now five years later I've played all of the games (except CoM) and am completely hooked!

I watched Nintendo's E3 conference and Days trailer appeared with Sanctuary. It catched my interest immediately and I asked a classmate, who was already a big fan since the first game, if I can try it out on his PS2. We became best friends and I got my favourite game of all times.

I remember seeing some commercials back in the day, and then I remember seeing a brief mention of KH2 (before it was even released in the US) with the gamer of the month in Disney Adventures Magazine (uuunnnggghhhh nostalgia...). By that point I remembered how much I had seen commercials and Disney 365's covering Kingdom Hearts so I figured that I should try to play it. And then I did and it was probably the best thing that came out of my family moving. <3

What in high heaven is Kingdom Hearts?

I think a friend of mine at school talked to me about Days a bit before it came out, and I may have seen the commercials for it too. Either that year or the year after, I was at GameStop and I saw Days on the shelf. So I bought it.

My best friend, who is like a brother, told me about the series and how cool it is and persuaded me to try it out. That was 2009; the rest is history and so hi I'm KingdomHearts3. Nice to meet you.

Friend recommended it, tried it out, loved it.

My former step-uncle (who I called my brother at the time since we were close in age I was like five and he was like 11) was playing it when I was visiting in Florida. I remember watching him race Riku in KH1's beginning and I just loved it. Convinced my Grandparents (who was raising me at the time and for most of my life) to buy it for my for my birthday. They got that and a giant fat black PS2 since I didn't have it. Fell in love with the game, never completed it. Had to skip Chain due to my Grandma not wanting to buy it since it wasn't KH2 (there was a misunderstanding at the gamestore) and got KH2 when it actually game out later as soon as it came out. Never completed THAT (got stuck on the firetrucking Light Cycle in Space Paranoids) and kinda dropped out of KH a little bit. Then Days came along and I saw it in Walmart, begged by Grandparents to buy it for me who did, and I turned into a hardcore KH fan. My Grandparents loved it too, and always got me KH nerd stuff when they could (Got a KH bookbag, my Grandpa got me a stainless steel life sized Keyblade for Christmas, and also bought me Naruto Mist Village wristbands thinking it was KH (to him anything anime related=Kingdom Hearts) so I formed a deep connection with that. Joined this site it 2010, and basically from there on its obvious. AquaxTerra became the best thing in the history of the world and now I'm here typing this long thing for you to read

Tl;dr- Saw someone play it when I was 5, thought it was coolio.

Well, the reason I got into the series in the first place was because the clerk in Sam's Club at that time, back in 2006, told me what the latest installment in the series, Kingdom Hearts II, was about.  As I heard her explanation, I felt intrigued by the game, and then, after her explanation, I felt compelled to play the game!  And so, thanks to Kingdom Hearts II, I got into the series, and I loved the game, and now I'm in love with the whole series in general! :3

Saw the Kingdom Hearts Re:coded trailer on TV

Do I really need to go through the whole story again? Short and sweet version:

Never heard of KH, day it comes out my cousin's family visited my house after getting the game as they are from out of state and they were visiting us that day anyways. And so when my cousin came into my house with the game, my sister, my female cousin, my cousin's brother, and I huddled around my old (and I mean that big old block type TV) and my PS2 the day the game came out and watched my cousin play the game. And as soon as Donald's first scene happened, I have loved the series since!

Back when the first game was released, I saw my cousin playing it and thought it looked fun. I got it a couple months afterwards.
