am i SERIOUSLY the only one who REALLY wants previous fire emblem games to be remade for the 3ds? seriously, its FE's perfect platform!

Jilly Shears repliedWell technically Shadow Dragon was a remake of the first part of FE3 which was an abridged remake of FE1, but I see your point. It's just that a lot of the design decisions don't make sense, like having the weapon triangle for later games even though a lot of the later chapters have enemies biased to use lances and swords, or being punished for being a good player by not letting you access the extra chapters unless you let people die. It's just a really wonky game in general.
Jilly Shears repliedAnd it's a shame we never got the Mystery of the Emblem remake because it looks like it fixed a lot of Shadow Dragon's weirdness while still expanding on the original game on its own right.

Shulk repliedI don't see how rarity requires a big publisher. There's an indie game coming soon with only one physical copy being released. That would still make it rare, it just wouldn't exactly be sought after if it didn't have a big name behind it.

the new fire emblem just looks so bad and awful and im disappointed because i was so hyped at first but somehow i got the feeling it was going to suck...i still might give it a try or at least watch some gameplay when iots released in english but still it just, every new story iu see about it keeps painting it shittier and shittier
Shana09 repliedUm it depends on which version you are looking at. People are saying Nohr is very good in terms of a more classic Fire Emblem and does a very good job while Hoshido works for the casual fans. I'm pretty hyped for the games, and people say the story and gameplay is much better than Awakening. The only thing I find weird is face-rubbing.
I haven't seen any spoilers and such (cuz I'm avoiding them) so I am just going by word of mouth.

This too, Awakening did very well since it was a wider audience. Without the changes, the series would've been gone.
Now that they surpassed the first week sales of Awakening, I think this is pretty good for IS. But Hoshido outsold Nohr, so I don't know how that would be for classic fans if they decide to drop dual versions in the future.

REALLY stupid, and I certainly could've gone without the bath thing, but everything else looks fine. Aside from what I just mentioned, the fanservice doesn't seem that bad at all. But then, I'm also not someone who played FE at all before Awakening, so I don't speak as a long time fan.

Before FE Awakening, the stories where more deep but lacked into the character department, Now in FE awakening forward, that was a pinpoint of it, and I liked it, now the rubbish thing is not that bad, a bit out of line but who cares?, Anyway, I will wait to check it Fates for myself before critizing it, maybe it will be damn good. Oh and meanwhile Aqua song... Aqua song everywhere. Du... rariru, durariiii
Arya Stark repliedI've been playing the GBA FE games, my only other ones since playing Awakening. I have to agree with Daniel. Awakening definitely feels very polished with lots of gameplay features that just make it more enjoyable, at least for the type of gamer I am. And, being the character person I am, I love how easy it is to get supports in Awakening. I've literally given up trying to get supports, one of my favorite parts of Awakening, in Blazing Sword they're so terribly hard. I can see it...

Awakening was great but older fans wanted a step up in terms of story since they thought it was pretty "basic" so that is what they tried to do with Fates, or at least Nohr.
PvP mode was something I wanted for a long time, streetpass was a bit weird for me to join.
At first the unbreakable weapons felt weird but I heard no complaints about it so it might be alrig...

Pair up has changed a bit tho, with there being an "Attack" and "Support" stance for your partner in battle. Like you know how two units can join together in battle? That is Pair Up.
In Awakening your partner (can be anyone, not your spouse) can protect and have a chance to attack the enemy alongside you + stat boosts. In the new game, they changed it so your unit's partner can either protect you or just have a chance to attack alongside...

Shana's analogy to Pokemon amie is pretty spot on. The characters face appears on the bottom screen (I don't know whether its a 2D sprite or a 3D model, but regardless it looks closer to the CGI cutscenes than the in game models or character cut-ins) and you can rub them. Yeah, I can see where you're coming from with not liking that. Personally, the characters in their underwear thing doesn't bother me since lots of RPGS have it (heck, Skyrim allow the player to strip the clothes off a dead body). Like I already said, though, the face rubbing doesn't appeal to me at all.

As someone who watched Game of Thrones, trust me they never went this far. I mean they had one rape scene that made people go crazy but that lasted like 10 seconds. Plus Game of Thrones shows sex but not the actual sex. Like one time they showed two people having sex but they were clothed. Usually whenever you see someone naked it is when they aren't having sex, like a prostitute or something else.

If you're going to skip the sexual scenes in general you are going to miss...
