No fandom is perfect. There are always those people. There are always characteristics of a fandom that make you have a love/hate relationship with it. There are those things. So, what we're gonna do today is talk about things we hate in this fandom. I'll start.

 

I hate how there is a large section of the fandom who hasn't even played any of the KH games, or even touched a video game in general, yet they act like they know what they are talking about when it comes to the story and characters.

 

I also hate how savage and selfish it can be at times. coughcoughpincoughcough

People who misinterpret the characters so badly and yet think that's how the character are in canon. Just Fanon in general actually.

Those who think they understand the story and think that Terra is Xehanort beacuse he looks like him.

I simply HATE those who magnify some news making them fake.For example, did you remember when (on May) Iago's voice actor, Gilbert Gottfried, has revealed on Twitter that he was voicing Iago in an upcoming KH title? Well, a lot of "fans" reacted saying "OMG AGRABAH'S WORLD CONFIRMED IN KH3!!!!"... But he was only voicing Iago in the Cinematic version of Re:Coded, and it was kinda obvious in my opinion...

I hate the fact that sometimes the company makes really selfish decisions, like not be open to feedback from it's consumers. Especially American ones.

Although there were those surveys.

I guess the only thing I do hate, and this applies for most of my other fandoms, is when there is a "fan" who either bashes every bit of KH material they come across or shames anyone who actually likes anything as being a mindless tool that just buys anything with the title name attached to it. Also, I hate it when someone has a very strong opinion and they won't even accept the fact that it's an opinion and other people think differently. This site isn't the worst site I've come across, though lately I have come across a few annoyances. Still, it's not as frustrating as TSSZ News. The only other thing I can think of that dislike is that when you think you've FINALLY got somebody figured out, be it a fan, user, or mod, and then suddenly they say or do something that contradicts what you thought about them, usually in a negative manner. It's more of a personal peeve though, as really you can't fully understand anyone and it's foolish to think that you have somebody figured out, especially on a website. Still, it does bug me and I'm only human, so it's something I've come across more often than not.

 

Oh, and just out of personal taste, I don't really care for most of the shippers. I don't mind things like Sora/Kairi and Roxas/Namine, but for the love of pete, I can't believe how many Roxas/Axel and Sora/Riku shippers I've come across in my time in the fandom. I'm not against same sex relationships and if there's a series where that is canon, all the better. But when it's not canon and there's clearly a platonic relationship, I'm sorry, but it just really get's on my nerves. But I don't prefer to call anyone out on it, it's a pretty typical fan thing to do and everybody has different tastes, so I respect that freedom to see and express the idea of pairing anyone you want together. Just don't expect me to join an Auku-roku club anytime soon.

 

Sorry if I offended anyone, that's never my intent. I've got my tastes, and you've got yours. But we're all still fans, right?

And just what's so wrong about #Squarebefair anyway? I think it's a perfectly logical and reasonable response to that...ATROCITY of a preorder "upgrade". I mean seriously, a PIN!? You give everyone in Japan a bundle with both games, a bluray soundtrack, AND a playarts Limit Form figure, and you expect us to settle for one lousy pin and nothing else!? It's not the pin I hate, that would actually be a nice thing for those who do the Disney pin collecting thing. What I DO hate is that it's the only thing that we get in addition to the game and they don't even acknowledge the idea of an artbook or not. I mean COME ON!

I tend to dislike any fan with a superiorty complex.

 

The crazy soriku and akuroku shippers get annoying too. I mean I have no problem if you ship them (I used to when I was younger lol) but when you try and declare it as canon you're going waaay too far lol.

seriously! People need to grow up and deal with what we are getting and stop being whiny people that want everything.

I really hate the times when fans are convinced that the Disney portions of the games don't matter, and that somehow they are bringing the story down.

I know right! Disney worlds are just as important than the story it self though I wouldn't mind them putting more of a plot In it like KH1

They should be happy that we are even getting these HD versions.

When people play 2 games and automatically think they're gurus. I've played KH1, KH2, DDD, BBS, CoM, and Re:Coded and I still feel like I "have so very much to learn" as Ansem would say.....

The people who complain too much about what we didn't get. I'm not saying that not getting the same stuff as Japanese fans isn't fair, but we should just be hyped for the game.

I've played all of them and like to think I know more than most, but even then I find that I have to check my "facts" and rethink some things. Sometimes somebody even changes my stance on an idea mid-way through. It just goes to show how the only thing you can know for sure is the fact that you can never fully know or understand everything.  :happy: "

• All the shippers annoy me. Sokai, Soriku, Akuroku, Roxmine, Akuion, Xemqua, Terraqua, Terrentus, Aqutus, Eranort, Ansenort, Soranitas, etc...
• People who think the mangas are canon
• Yaoi people- I can't even go through the Sora, Riku, Vanitas tag on tumblr without seeing some porn
• Those fans who flat out ignore the recent titles and get mad when the main game comes out.
• Those fans who hate FFXIII and bring the hate to KH- go to gamefaqs and you will see that.
• Character haters who just attack everyone- esp. of the Kairi and Sora variety
• Trolls

Nothing really wrong with the fandom, I mean I don't blame those squarebefair people. Japan does always get the good stuff, all these custom systems and cool Limited Editions. They jus picked a wrong reason to finally get pissed ... A pin just wow

If there's one thing I don't like is when the fandom spreads fake news. I've already seen in other websites how some say Atlantis has been confirmed for KH3, or that one time everyone said Terra would be voiced by Christian Bale, or how someone created a page on the IMDb website with a cast for KH3. It only gives false hope, and I don't like it.

Somehow, I doubt anybody would feel any differently than they do now if they didn't give us the pin.

 

And "go this far"? Yeah, because making a Twitter page is way worse than signing a petition, boycotting the game, or causing a riot. People ARE upset by this. Not everyone can just suck it up and bottle their feelings inside. I don't think this is very fair and I don't think I'm any wrong for thinking so.

 

I understand if you don't agree, but it's just a fact that some of us can't stand this...thing.
