I was thinking about how overall the KH series doesn't have a vast majority of ORIGINAL characters. Most are Disney or FF, Xemnas, YMX, Ansem SOD, MX, Terranort, Braig, Isa are all norts or xehanort themselves. Then there's ventus, vanitas, roxas and xion. Vanitas has Sora's exact face and same with ven and roxas.

 

So why no new characters? Not the somebodies of ORG 13 members, not people Sora let's into his heart 

I mean actual new people. Keyblade wielders or not this series needs new characters. It's annoying talking about the same 7/8 characters all the time.

Here's the scenario:

Riku is in Daybreak town searching for Sora and he encounters heartless, unversed and nobodies all at once. Riku can't handle all these and here swoops in :Hinoko (Japanese for sparks) he's electrifying. With blue hair and yellow clothing.

To focus more on their abilities and their skills as keyblade wielders, Hinoko is extremely fast. Faster than Ventus. He wields the 'dualshock' keyblade.

Toneri: Toneri is goofy and I don't want him to be an amazing keyblade wielder. Toneri is average, but he can add humor to any situation

Luna:Luna is the younger sister of Isa... She does not play the 'Damsel' role in any shape. Luna can extend her keyblade  and she shares the same witch powers as Namine.

These 3 just travel the worlds, killing heartless for enjoyment

Characters like these would spice things up a bit and change the KH formula slightly. Just 3 friends goofing around. Let me know what you think

 

 

For one thing, I think KH needs more female original characters. I think it would be awesome if there was a girl to complete the trio of Eraqus and Xehanort.

I don't know. It'd seem kind of forced and uninspired if they just randomly showed up just for the sake of having new characters.

 

Considering Riku and Mickey are looking for new Keyblade users, it can work in that context, but there'd still need to be explanations like "where the f*ck have you guys been for the past year or so?!" Lol

It just needs something more new and original, powers, weapons, anything.

With the Xehanort Saga coming to a close in KH3, I do think it is Ill-timed to bring in a new trio and do them justice. They could try to expand the roles of Hayner, Pense, and Ollette, but an entirely new tro would be problematic this late in game...unless it was to set up the next story arch.

That wouldn't really make sense for KH3, since it's supposed to be a conclusion of everything we've been introduced to so far. If anything, a new trio would probably be introduced in a future game after that.

Not for KHIII.  There are way too many lose ends to tie up before introducing someone new.

I don't actually think a new trio would be wise at this point.  There is a story to finish with the current cast (which is already large, mind you), and new characters would mean having to learn to attach to them, and rather quickly since they only have one game left for the Xehanort Saga.  I think the introduction of a couple new characters would be great, but not necessarily main characters, and definitely not a duo.  I kind of see what you mean in terms of trying to add a new trio like Terra, Aqua, Ven and Roxas, Axel, and Xion, but I felt that they kind of did a spinoff of a trio with Hayner, Pence, and Ollette, which didn't take off the same way.  I'd be pretty happy with Kingdom Hearts III remaining as-is, with new characters in the next installment to the series after the Xehanort Saga.

It has never actually been confirmed, but it's been hinted that Yen Sid completes the trio with Eraqus & Xehanort. If you revisit him as Terra in BBS, he mentions how he used to train alongside Xehanort & Eraqus. I found that interesting.

I'd rather that Nomura just develop the characters he already has, rather than invent new ones.

Kingdom Hearts III is a continuation of the series. The past game leading to KH3 has the trio, characters, and stage setup already. No new trio needs to be made, but new characters in worlds can still be a thing.

Putting a new trio at this point in the series would be kind of unnecessary, given that there's already so many characters that we've been introduced to!  I mean, if the trio were like Hayner, Pence and Olette, who are only in Twilight Town, then okay, we could be introduced to a new trio in a new world.  But, Kingdom Hearts III is about closure.  About closing the book on all these characters that we've grown attached to, to finally see their journeys end, and their sorrows vanish.  As such, the character focus should be on the ones who are already in the fold.  Although your character ideas sound neat, I think it's best that if a new trio would be introduced, they'd be introduced in the next saga.

 

And I have to agree with what the members are saying, we need more lovely ladies to make their presence known in the Kingdom Hearts series!  Hopefully this is something that the next saga will aim to improve upon!

In my opinion, I think it's not necessary for KH III. KH series are enough for trios. I would rather see new character, especially female characters

Maybe not a trio but I'd like to see a new character or two. Maybe a couple of new Seekers of Darkness that we have never seen before.
