While I know Disney is mainly known for animated films, they've also done live action content. So why not include some of it into KH3? Like Pirates of he Caribbean, Tron & Tron Legacy were. I've heard many arguments as to why they shouldn't be in and while I respect everyone's opinion I do have to disagree on a lot of the points. Like so?
"Sora doesn't fit with Live action characters" When people bring this up they always refer to Port Royal from KH2. I game from 2 generations ago. While Sora doesn't like photo-realistic, he does look a lot more real in KH3 (so far) rather than the PS2 era. This is the 8th generation of gaming, not the 6th.
"Port Royal was a bad world" It's true, I didn't like how it was set up either, but does that mean all live action worlds are going to be just like Port Royal? Following that logic because the Little Mermaid was an animated film and it's world was bad means that all animated worlds would be bad. Being based on Live Action content doesn't determine the quality of the world. It's determined on which direction the developers go in.
"Kingdom Hearts should ONLY be animated" Then we should just act like Port Royal, Space Paranoids & The Grid never happened? Disney has a lot of Animated films. Even enough to go over more than 2 sagas I think but eventually they'l start to run low. So in my opinion it's better to use the live action content to delay the inevitable. And yes, I was the user that posted that list of animated films that have never been in Kingdom Hearts with almost 60 results but half of those couldn't even be in Kingdom Hearts due to the fact that they just wouldn't work, some of them were Studio Ghibli films, ect.
"If live action gets into Kingdom Hearts 3 than it will be a bad game" So I guess Drwam Drop Distance, 2.5, 2.8 & KH2 are bad games then right?
"What about the likeness of the actors/actresses?" It more depends on what film I guess because it didn't seem like a problem in the worlds we had so far.
"What films would they even go for that would work?"
-Tomorrowland
-The other Pirates Films
-Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland
-he Great & Powerful Oz
-Return to Oz
-The Zorro TV series
-Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
-Maleficent (or just that design used for Maleficent, but it would be awkward seeing that drastic change)
-Enchanted
-Mary Poppins
-Hocus Pocus
-Sky High
-The Santa Clause
-Flubber
-Babe's Toyland
-Something Muppets related maybe
-Power Rangers I think are technically owned by Disney
-The Haunted Mansion
-20,000 leagues under the sea
-Marvel's The Avengers (If they decided to add a purely Marvel world)
-Any Start Wars film (if they decide to add any Start Wars film)
There are a lot more that could work but my point is, I think live action content should be welcomed into Kingdom Hearts. It's still Disney and a lot of them are timeless films or new favorites. What are your thoughts on Live Action films?
