The official Square Enix website for Jump Festa 2016 has gone live, and with that, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue has appeared on the list of games confirmed to be featured at the event. Jump Festa 2016 will be shown from December 19 to December 20, 2015. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue will appear with a new trailer.

I wonder if it will be similar to the trailer that was shown at D23 with just a few things added or a new trailer all together, still it was expected to show up here, wonder if they will have a release date or not, wouldn't hold my breath but I would be surprised if they did reveal the release date

I don't even think I can get hyped for this. D23 Japan was the one thing that has actually destroyed my hype for Kingdom Hearts. I'll see whether this trailer will revitalise my hype, but for now, its nothing I'm going to hype over.

In regards to KH3 they literally just keep showing an extended/updated version of the same trailer.

I'm keeping my expectations low after the D23 fiasco.

Hopefully they show a little gameplay or something. Or it could be just ultra a update version from the last trailer.

I'm in the same boat as you. It's hard to maintain the hype at this point. Hopefully the actual trailer will bring all the hype back

I can't wait to see the trailer with excitement, none of that "hype". That whole D23 trailer rumor fiasco is in the past now. Besides, I bet they are showing 2.8 FCP because it's going to be released next year. I would be surprised if Square Enix are going to tease us with very little of some KH3 stuff in that the trailer.

Don't get your hopes up for seeing it though unless you are at the event! You will just find out that they aren't going to show you the trailer otherwise and make you wait even longer for news and then say "Please be excited" because that slogan never gets old and it will 100% make people want to buy their games.

Yay! I can't wait! All that raving and ranting by people around the internet was all for nothing. Now those people will probably now start kissing up to SQEX and say they're the best or something to that degree.

This is definitely good news to me! I want to see how the graphics are coming along, and I'm definitely interested in all things Chi (in fact, depending on who's voicing the Foretellers, it may or may not end up confirming an interesting theory).

 

I was starting to (ridiculously) worry that we'd never get KH news again. At least not for a long time, anyway. I mean... I don't blame Square at all for not releasing the D23 trailer (as they never promised that they would), but that on top of the manga being over, Unchained still not being available, and II.8 and III still being forever away was all just a little bit disheartening.

 

This definitely has me perked up and excited for what's to come, though!
