i try not to. considering kh is a series i been actively brought from square enix outside of hidden gem like twewy and three (counting the ff7 trilogy) arpg ff games.

after kh and ff7 ends i doubt id go back to square unless they keep doing arpg

I do not think that kh4 will be the last game.

Kingdom Hearts is one of the big IPs of Square Enix. Not as big as Final Fantasy but it still makes Money.

duck dodgers is going to be in KH4?! didn't see that coming

Sorry for the super late response to the Kairi convo but I've always been an advocate of a bigger push for her (sorry using wrestling terms again). I still think they should do a side game with Kairi and two party members for her. There are a couple of options I'd be 1000% behind. Max (Goofy's son) and an unknown third (never managed to come up with one. Feel free to throw some suggestions out there). Or... there was one time several years ago I saw fan art on DeviantArt of Kairi and her two party members being the other two members of The Three Cabelleros (the red chicken and the green parrot for those who don't know who they are. See DuckTales reboot). I'd be 1000% behind that as well

Nope

People didn't like the gap between kh2 and kh3 with all the games.

At least with those games there was something to consume while waiting for the next title, and subsequently the HD collections too.

Now there's just nothing...

kh4 could be the last game if it reveals the MoM

ultimately the story, even xehanorts revolves around MoM. so if they got revealed and had a conclusion. Defeated/changed their plans. that could end the seres

personally I feel like maleficient will be the final boss in KH simply because how involved she is and looking for the box

Yeah I made that message just to respond to the conversation but the likelihood of another KH side game is extremely low with Nomura wanting to retire and the fanbase... likely not wanting someone else taking creative control of the story if it doesn't end before Nomura retires 😬

i have a feeling that KH4 might be the last or maybe second to last in this story before Square ultimately decides to reboot it. They already have Nomura on it less for KH4, so by the end they could just take him off entirely, but I think for the long term theyre going to want to continue the series instead of ending it because it makes money(their third best franchise iirc), but they no longer want to be held back by a continuous story anymore that delays potential releases(like how FF and DQ get side games constantly while waiting for the next mainline game, KH can't do the same if they continue doing a singular coherent story)

I dont want Nomura off btw, but I really do think its a move Square will make if they want to reboot the series

i think it is best nomura is off cause the whole waiting 7 or 13 years for a game is kinda getting old having to replace actors cause they die
