Do you have a Kingdom Hearts related pet peeve?

 

When people complain about the different consoles.  I got into Kingdom Hearts because it was on the 3DS ad I have so much to thank for that.

That we see so little of Master Xehanort. I hope in the future they flesh out his character more than put him at the end or have him sporadically showed up. 

Some of the minigames (including Gummi Ship missions) drove me batshit crazy when trying to 100% 2FM.

Yes, I do.When people complain that Dolan won't heal them when they didn't prepare.If you didn't buy enough potions to restore your own health, that's your problem.

When people say "Man I cant wait for KH3! Ive been waiting ages for it to release. I never bothered to play the side games they arent important". Those people are will not understand a thing going on in KH3.

Also trying to platinum BBSFM is literal torture because you have to do pretty much everything THREE TIMES...

I experienced saying "Kingdom of Hearts" after he said he was a fan of the series yesterday and I was like woah woah woah what?!?!

I personally get bothered when fans act disrespectful to those who aren't as knowledgeable of the series as they are, or to people who aren't interested in it. The fanbase can get surprisingly hostile, and it's something that needs to stop.

 

I also think that all of the shipping in the fanbase is annoying, but I know that's a very unpopular opinion, so I'll just stop there.

When certain companies withhold certain trailers from a certain public.

The whole fanbase is my pet peeve.

I am absolutely sick of hearing those Japanese-esque grunts come out of the characters every time they move a muscle.

 

Summoning your Keyblade? 'Ehh!' 

 

Going for a run? 'Nyehh!'

 

Slightly upset? 'E-eh!' 

 

Kill me. They didn't really start doing that until Birth by Sleep and by GOD is it annoying.

What grinds my gears is the fact that a term like "pet peeves" is used and I don't even know what IT MEANS!!... oh wait...

 

 

The constant shipping, especially RoxXAxe... Poor that gu- I mean my favorite character!! Then there's motherfiretrucking Donald who's always wasting Cure on Goofy... like seriously i'm doing all the fighting, then Donald dies and Goofy is somehow still standing, oh I wonder why....

 

I got too many to list and not enough energy to go through them all.

They're UNIONS not factions for the love of macaroni

 

That's my main one.

I don't like the systems they are released on. It's the one thing keeping me from playing the numbered and most of the non numbered titles TnT

what do you mean "by all of the shipping in the fanbase"?  just curious. 

 

To answer the question poll, I can't think of one on top of my head, so I don't think I have a pet peeve for the kingdom hearts series or the fanbase. I think I just don't let it get to me as much.

All of the character pairings (Sora/Kairi, Roxas/Axel, etc.). Personally, I'm not a fan of romance in the series.

1. The Yaoi shippers

2. Fanfiction, and OC's. So much of this makes me cringe, even if it's done well

3. Yeah, the multiple console stuff complaints. After so many years of hearing it I just can't anymore, especially when it's only going to be 2 consoles when 2.8 comes out.

4. The doom and gloom other people put off when we don't get much information, or when trailers aren't confirmed (hint hint).

5. "We're Sora, Donald, and Goofy."

 

So yeah, it's mostly what other people do that puts me off.

People dissing the games and not even knowing about it...nobody in my hometown even knows about Kingdom Hearts. (Some poor sap dissed it because he never passed Traverse town in the first game.)

All the soraxriku fan fiction. Not even gonna sugar coat it, whoever writes some of that stuff is really sick & twisted

The side games and IGN. Gosh, so annoying.

This NEEDS to be one of those square check box questions, not a "pick one" question.

 

Number 1, 2, 3, annnnd 5 all piss me off.

 

They aren't firetrucking side games, they're all important games! The term itself pisses me off.

 

Some of us base their entire consule collection off of what systems KH comes out on. Without KH being on DS or PSP or 3DS, imagine all the pokemon and other games I would have missed?

 

It's friendship! I'm sorry but no amount of fangirl backing will make Soku a thing!! Nor Roxel! They have close bonds as FRIENDS, not lovers!

 

Kingdom hearts isn't a series where you can say, "Oh, I played the numbered titles 1 and 2, so I feel like I have a good grasp on the series and can criticize it". No. You can't. firetruck off. This is a story-based game series, not a gameplay-based one. Go back to God of War.

Personally, I never liked the mini-games.  Not just for KH, but in all video games; they just drive me nuts!

 

And I think I'm the only one who thinks this, but its the people that complain about shipping and shippers that I hate.  Now, I understand if people shove their ships down your throat and that causes you to hate them, but I haven't seen that happen too much.  Honestly, I've seen more people bitch about shipping and shippers than I have actual shippers shoving their opinions down throats.

 

Seriously, I've seen people claim that they're such big fans of (insert fandom here), but then they see a picture of a couple they don't like (and usually the picture isn't even that bad) and they lose their freaking minds and say that they hate (insert fandom here) now and can never watch/play it again.  Good grief people, get a grip!  If you're honestly gonna let that get to you, then you're very sensitive and need to see a therapist because that is not healthy!

I have only one friend who is into Kingdom Hearts. We are both excited for KH3. She has both hd remixes, but she'll only play KH 1 and 2. She won't  try BBS even after I told her it's important for KH3, and she'll be pretty lost story wise. Her reasoning is that she only likes playing as Sora. "Sora's the main person", and so she doesn't like any others. She doesn't even like playing as Riku. It annoys me cause she hasn't even given the other characters a chance. So yeah, they're not sidegames, they are important to the story!
