What I don't like about Cloud in Smash is that his final smash is just another version of Ike's, Robin's, Greninja's, Mii Brawler's, and Zoroark's Pokeball move. Can they not think of something else for a final attack?

WakingDawn96 repliedI know that Omislash is the signature of Cloud, that I understand and get that it is apart of him, but I don't understand why they needed to make it just like Ike's attack. They could have change the direction of the attack by making it be in the center of the stage and not in the air and not have Cloud bring his opponents down.

But really this just makes me wish that multiple smash attacks could happen on the screen at the same time, I'd really love to see the Omnislash go up against the Great Aether, lol. X)
WakingDawn96 repliedWell Cloud attack style in KH was different from his Final Smash here, so there could have been some inbetween way that could have made Cloud not be Ike, but I think I am just tried of this style of attack, as Ike, Robin, Greninja, Mii Brawler, Zoroark, and Cloud should not all be the same. Greninja I could see with this style of attack because when he was being worked on X and Y hadn't even come out then, and Cloud gets this attack from his game, and Ike had his final from Brawl, so he h...
WakingDawn96 repliedHad it first. But Robin, Mii Brawler, and Zoroark could have had different attack styles. Zoroark could have used illusions to his advantage, maybe make opponents look like each other, or Zoroark use Illusions on himself and make himself like the player who summoned him and attack the other players like an Amiibo would.
WakingDawn96 repliedMii Brawler could have had an actual final attack that would be Mii related. Miis have mutilple appearances that could have worked into the moveset. And Robin I understand needed a way to have Chrom in it to please fans (which it didn't work) and teams were a big thing in Awakening but I think they could have done a different style of team up. So I just get the vibe that Sakurai isn't seeing the bigger picture since he has six characters with the same style of moves.

I mean, we've got several transformation smashes, blast-wave smashes, army/recruits/backup smashes, heavy weapon smashes, etc. There's multiple characters that share similar styles of final smashes, so I don't see it as much of an issue, so long as it accurately represents and displays who they are individually
