Absolutely thrilled, but seeing as Nomura as director troubles me... And since Square will want this out by 2017 (for the anniversary) I have a feeling this will take precedence over KH3...

I don't even know what to say right now!  I went to say goodnight to my Stepdad while this trailer was playing, and then when I come back and sit down and see Barret and Cloud, I frickin freak!!!  Final Fantasy VII is getting a frickin remake!!!!  Holy mother of Midgar, this was FRICKIN SURPRISING!!!!!

Well, dang. It's actually happening. This will be interesting to see. Now we just need a 3D remake of VI, preferably on a real game system...

Waaaaait wait wait wait. Wasn't there some article linked here not long ago, where someone said an FFVII remake wouldn't be a good idea? Something about how reformatting it to complete with current AAA standards would make it lose what made the original memorable. What happened to that?
