Why wouldn't it be? I fully expect it to be the last world.

I'm willing to bet that KH is like a world, except made up entirely of light and hearts.Well that or it's the game universe's equivalent of heaven.Or, it's possibly nothing more than the most killer recipie for cherry pie the universe has ever known and Xehanort wants it for himself just to bake one and eat it xD

Yeah! Maybe like a world with a Spiritual design and maybe even something divine!

What do I think Kingdom Hearts truly is? I think it's this universes' equivalent of heaven but also the place where all hearts are born and where they go to after death.

Whatever it is, I want its world theme to be a combination of Dearly Beloved and Destati.

i would think the real kingdom would be shown at the end of the series not atthe end of the saga

I think you're right. In some sects of Buddhism it is said that all souls go to a single place once they reach nirvanna and I think that KH might be something similar. Obviously KH has a lot of Christian (catholic) motifs (the Keys to Heaven are the same colors as the Kingdom Key and Mickey's Keyblade, the idea that death is just sleep and we'll all be awaken when the messiah comes (Sora fills this role) and resurects us) and Buddist ones too (the Lotus Sora sleeps in, the idea that the mind (heart in this case) shapes the body actually appeals in some buddhist tales). Now as for Xehanort wants it... Some have suggested that since most characters are part of trios that Eraqus and Xehanort had another teammate (a girl most likely since the third member is always female). This teammate might've been important to Xehanort either a close friend, a relative, or a lover. This person could've told Xehanort about KH in much the same way that Kairi talking about other worlds perked Riku and Sora's interests in other worlds. Maybe just like Kairi also had in interest in seeing other worlds this person had an interest in seeing KH for her/himself. Later on this person could've died an untimely death. Xehanort might be trying to keep a promise to see it for her/him. Or perhaps he wants to revive this person, in addition to filling his curiousity.

I believe Kingdom Hearts to be some sort of resting place for all of the 'hearts' or 'souls' of those who have come to pass, and that Xehanort's plan is to control Kingdom Hearts and to manipulate those hearts to darkness, for some sort of army or his own immortality?

I think it's like the source for control all hearts in every world giving total power upon light and darkness.

I was afraid to make a thread a long time ago, stating a theory that Kingdom Hearts was a heaven for hearts, becuase I thought people would make fun of it and it being a stupid theory... Now everyone is saying this and now I'm lost for words.

In the first game, it was a giant door leading into the ROD

In later games, it is a giant heart shaped moon.

It could by anything

Of course Nomura is the biggest troll in the world

Whoa. That Xehanort/Eraqus trio theory could hold some weight. We haven't seen keyblade wielders who aren't in a 2 male 1 female trio. Now I kind of want this to happen. The only thing is Xehanort is obsessed with the darkness. You think he'll be some kind of tragic villain in the end? One we can sympathize with?

Kingdom Hearts is just a big cardboard heart hanging in the sky, the entire series was just Sora playing around with his toy sword in his room before dinner.

I always interpreted it in a literal sense, being the most supreme dominion in the whole world. I wouldn't be able to describe it, it would essentially be like trying to describe heaven or something. Point being I always thought it was given this sort of Valhalla-esque reputation with the way all the characters talk it up. But who knows? If it isn't this sort of ideal or omnipotent realm of power, magnitude, and surreal nature (if KH1 and KH2's Kingdom Hearts looked THAT messed up, ooohhhh man...), then who knows what the truth might be? Maybe it's worse than we may have all thought. Maybe it's not at all what anyone is expecting, not even Xehanort.

My friend theorizes Sora to be Kingdom Hearts.

Everyone's heard this theory before tbh.

Being more serious now, I would not be surprised if Kingdom Hearts itself, whatever it is (at the moment the most popular theory being some kind of Lifestream-esque...thing, realm, whatever) has a will or consciousness of some kind, and it's using the main characters (protagonist or not) to carry out its own tasks.
