Does anyone even LIKE Atlantica?

Featured Replies

I like it.  Though I started with KH2 and didn't know you could have previously fought in the world so I wasn't comparing it to it's predecessor's when playing, I enjoyed having a world where I could still play a game but take a break from fighting/grinding, it was refreshing.  And when I got KH1 afterwards I thought it was really neat to be able to play in this world in my experience I previously couldn't.  My least favourite world in all editions is Agrabah (though it's got my favourite music in the soundtrack) I just don't like it in any adeditions.

I didn't like it in KH1 because it was difficult to fight and move. It was okay in KH2, honestly the singing didn't bother me. Most people complain that there was no combat in the world, but I had no problem with it for the reason I mentioned. I consider it a break from the combat in previous worlds.

I loved it. I thought Ariel was one of the most useful partners you get in the game, and I thought her relationship with Sora is fantastically done. I've said it before, but she has the same problem as Sora did at the begining of the game: she's trapped within the confines of her world (ironically within the sea, while Sora is landlocked), and wants to broaden her horizons.

I thought the water based fighting system was a really good idea. It made you have to adapt to a new scenario, and you had to change your ways of thinking about how you did combat (using magic actually has the edge over close combat). Fighting in three dimensions was kind of cool, and I like that the game threw you a curve that you couldn't just smash X to get through.

As for getting around, I really liked that too. The size and scope of Atlantica was fitting to the fact that you're in the ocean, and it should feel very large and imposing. It felt like there was more to explore, which is a trend that I think KH1 did better than any other game in the series.

Also, Ursula is my favorite Disney villain, so props to that as well.

The first Alantica was hard because of the console I had a hard time trying to figure out how to swim and stuff. However, the 2nd Alantica from kh2 well the singing was alright but you didnt get to fight....yeah it suck and i was disappointed

I loved it. Being a mermaid Sora was fun, and the Ursula battle was pretty cool too. I loved the music in KH1 too.

TO ATLANTICA. I liked Little Mermaid, but the world itself was shit in my eyes. Nothing, and I mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, will change my opinion of that. -__- A better world deserved to be in KH1 then Atlantica honestly.

Im honestly surprised that THIS many people like it. Seriously. I thought i'd see SOME haters around here honestly. But no, only me and VIIIAxel are the only ones who've posted who dislike it. God Damn. xD

The Kingdom Hearts 2 version sucked. Kingdom Hearts 1 was pretty fun, but it was annoying that you couldn't hook onto the dolphin until there were no heartless.

I liked it until the 2nd game. The whole song batting thing was just stupid and annoying. But id like to see it again for the story

Only thing I liked were the characters, other than that the world was pretty awful

THANK YOU!!!!! Finally, someone who understands me about this world.

Meh i'm just glad that wierd priest wasnt in it xD creepy a bit??

I hated the swimming mechanics but the rest was epic, i loved the way each individual worlds aspects draw on new gameplay mechanics :)

There is only one right answer to your question:

NO

Never got the chance to play it in KH1. My ps3 broke.

It was ok (in Kingdom Hearts 1) but I think Square Enix should let go of atlantica and use the space for a more better use.

I didnt mind it, it was something different in the game, dont know how you needed a playthrough, but I did fine.

I loved Atlantica in KH2. Not so much in KH1 or CoM

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY ALANTICA -Said No One Ever

I mean seriously, come on. You have to admit, its the worst world in the game honestly.

The story for the world was good, it was just the world itself was AWFUL.

Its so hard to navigate around the place, and you're liable to get yourself lost in it. I generally don't look up guides for games unless im trying to 100% it, but this damn world forced my hand. I had to use a playthrough to actually find out where to go. Its so annoying. And then the battles make it even worse. You can't dodge, you just have to go up and down and hope you don't get hit.

It's just....Ugh. Its horrible, its f***ing the worst world i've ever seen in KH1, and its just as  bad in KH2, except in a different way(The f***ing singing DRIVES ME NUTS).

And since im platinuming the game, I HAVE TO DO THE DAMN WORLD. UGHHHHHHHHHH.

After i platinum HD Remix, i swear to god, i will NEVER, EVER DO ATLANTICA IN KH1 EVER AGAIN. I SWEAR ON MY LIFE. Seriously. It's that f***ing bad.

Are you kidding me? This many people actually liked it? Damn. :|

I hated it. Took me a while to gt the hang of swimming and I spent all day in that level because every area looked the same to me. The only thing I liked about Atlantica was the music.

Atlantica, the only world Rob got lost in.

I got lost because the whole world looks the same, and i end up getting distracting when i get into battle, and i forget where to go. Its really annoying. >.<

yeah it was fine to me
