I don't know how many of you guys are aware of this, but earlier today mass shootings and explosions began in central Paris. Over sixty people were killed earlier today, and it appears that a hundred more were just killed in the Bataclan Concert Hall after a hostage situation took place. The terrorists are still wrecking havoc, so if you are anywhere near Paris please stay indoors and try to let your loved ones know you are safe.

This is a very dangerous attack, and if you're in Paris I hope you're out of harms way. Many news sources are covering the attack as well.

Paris is in my prayers. These kind of real world problems are the ones we should be thinking about and helping in any way we can. Let's rise and show the hope in humanity.

Please, users do read carefully what Aqua7KH has said, it is very important if you are in danger. I know it's 2AM and it's a friday, a lot of people go out at this time (I do, at least), but stay out of harm's way, you do not fool around with this sort of trouble.

Good grief, I question what is wrong with humanity sometimes.  It amazes me that people can be so heartless as to go on these mass shooting and bombing sprees.  What's worse is when they think they can justify it!  I too will be praying for the families in Paris.  That is just horrible and I hope those responsible for the attack are stopped before causing further damage. : (

Why can't people who want to hurt others just play FPS games, like CoD. You don't hurt anyone real, can't get arrested, kill however you want, get guns/weapons with in-game currency, etc.

I heard of Paris an hour and a half ago and felt so bad. My hopes are with everyone in Paris and I hope everyone good stays out of harms way.

Oh my God...I can't believe something like this is happening! D:  It's just messed up the way that people just go about killing innocents like it's no big deal! I mean seriously! Humanity can be really screwed up in the head sometimes...and that is just sad.  Sometimes I do understand why many people have lost faith in humanity, but just as there are horrible people, there are also noble people.  But, as for the situation at hand, all I can say is that I hope the people of France are able to overcome this ordeal, and my prayers shall be with them!  My sincere condolences go to the dead, and I hope that their families will be able to push through this!  Let's all pray and hope for the best for them!  May God bless them!

I apologize for upsetting you with this thread. I just wanted to inform everybody of what's going on. If you're scared while you're trying to sleep, I suggest listening to your favorite happiest songs. It helped me when I was afraid to sleep.

I've been seeing this a lot on Facebook. That's is just messed up.

 There is also a lot of Good. Some Parisians are housing strangers who couldn't get back home due to the security concerns. This year has been full of Terror for France and other countries, I hope that by next year IS and other terror groups will truly be defeated once and for all.

Guys, it's really over now. They've killed all 8 gunmen. There is no confirmation that the gunmen were Muslim and there have been no links made to Isis. Police are closing all public buildings and amenities on Saturday.

 

But travel to Paris has not been stopped. Tye Eurostar and Eurotunnel are running their services as normal and only American Airlines are cancelling or delaying their flights
