I think it's very possible that this is a compilation of 1.5 & 2.5 + DDDHD, if it's real at all. Though I'm cautiously optimistic, it could easily be faked. Obviously, people have been asking for both HD collections on PS4 and it wouldn't make sense to release a compilation of the two on PS3 again unless they also included an incentive - that being DDD.

It wouldn't be a demo for KHIII if it's releasing on PS3 and I don't think they'd only release DDDHD on PS4 and not the other games. Out of all of them, the first option seems the most likely to me. Seriously, edit: (44????) people have picked the 'KHIII demo' option and it seems silly. Why would Square release a demo for a game on a system it isn't going to be on?

KH3D and KH3 demo

Edited by Komali

I want it to be all of the above.

I want to think it's a re-release of HD 1.5 and 2.5 ReMIX along with KH3D HD. I guess we'll just have to wait and see though. Who knows what it really could be?

If I even remotely believed it was true I'd be hoping for

1.5 (with playable Days)

2.5 (with playable Re:coded)

Playable 3D

Playable BbSv2

Playable Uχ

KH3 Demo.

I'm hoping it'll be like FF Type-0 HD, and have a demo of the upcoming game included.

I personally feel that it's 3D HD by itself. The only reason I rule out the possibility of a KH3 demo is purely from the fact that this game is also releasing on the PS3 and KH3's Engine is built on the PS4, maybe that could be a bonus if you got the PS4 version but that PS3 version has me a bit skeptical about that.

could it be a tech demo for KH3 stuff

but then idk why it'd be on ps3 if that were the case

maybe an early build like Resident Evil 3.5 was an early build of RE4

idk it just sounds too dumb to be the actual name of a product. 1.5 and 2.5 were pushing it and 2.9 just seems like a joke someone would make about those titles

2.9 just doesnt seem real...Im really skeptical cause they like someone said above they wouldnt just have 3D by itself and call it 2.9..>.> also.. ..2.9? where did the 9 come from ? What does it mean? Who just puts a 9 there??!?!? THAT 9 REALLY BOTHERS ME OK

My initial thought was 2.5 + 3D and maybe some new features? I know Nomura said there were no plans to release 1.5 and 2.5 on the PS4, but I really hope he was just making that up or something, because I have the hanes on all the old systems, but don't have a PS3, and am planning on saving up for a PS4 solely for KHIII. It'd be nice to actually have the entire series on one system. *dreams on* I know Square Enix will never do it, but it would make me happy if they remade Days for whatever current system. The cutscenes were okay, but I just have a lot of sentiment for that game, and played it 5 times on the DS. I know it's a little dry compared to all the bigger games, but I felt its content was really significant.

Additional note: I feel like it'd be really weird to call a complete set of 1.5 + 2.5 + 3D Kingdom Hearts 2.9. They should just come up with a name like, Kingdom Hearts Full ReMix or something. xD Okay maybe not "Full," but you get what I'm saying.

I think it is just Dream Drop Distance with added features (like a final mix) and maybe it includes Days and Re:Coded as playable games this time around, and it could have a small sneak peek at KH3!

(I don't think it is a bundle of all the games in HD put together, that seems like something that the PS3 couldn't handle)

Honestly, I'm not sure what to make of it. A remaster of KH3D for PS3 seems silly when KH3 isn't going to be there and the name Kingdom Hearts 2.9 seems stupid (even by KH standards) for a compilation of 1.5, 2.5 & KH3D on PS4.

I expect a release of 1.5 and 2.5 on PS4 at some stage (yet I don't believe it'll head to the Xbox One) and a release of KH3D because of how it ties into KH3 story-wise. Though, I don't know if this Kingdom Hearts 2.9 is that title. Considering it is listed as a PS3 and PS4 title, I don't see why it'd be KH3D and a demo for 3. Like, 1.5 & 2.5 aren't on PS4 so why would they have KH3D raring to go? That'd just confuse newbies all together.

If it is a KH3D remaster then why go with Kingdom Hearts 2.9 over Kingdom Hearts Re: Dream Drop Distance? It can't be hard to market the game as a prologue of sorts to KH3 without having it stupidly titled 2.9.

Yeah I dunno.

Some combination of all of the above, but realistically the remixes and DDDHD. I don't think it would be DDDHD by itself, even with a demo, there needs to be something to it.

Honestly I don't think there's going to be a demo at all (at least, not an Episode Duscae/Ground Zeroes type thing), even though that's what they did with Type-0.

What I want it to be 1.5 and 2.5 with Dream Drop Distance playable. What it will most likely end up being is just 1.5 and 2.5 in a collection together for PS4 and PS3(idk why they need to release it on PS3).  If it was just an HD version of Dream Drop Distance then why call it 2.9 unless it's like the in company name for it until it is announced then it will be called Dream Drop Distance HD or ReMix.

I just don't believe this. Why make 2.9 if you content on 2.5?

Even it's true, DDD should be in 2.9.

I don't quite get everyone's excitement for BBS-V2. I get people want another KH game, but that would only take resources from KH3. Besides, BBS-V2 was only ever a concept. We have no clue what it was ever going to be.

Where did you get the "Remix" from? Last I checked, it's just 2.9. Anyway, I'm really skeptical of it, especially since a compilation of 1.5 and 2.5 on the PS3 would seem weird, and leaving it as just a 3D remake but naming it 2.9 would be weird. If it's an entirely new game, naming it 2.9 would be really stupid. I'm not really buying it until there's official confirmation, though.

I agree, I don't recall it saying ReMix, but the name could change. (Since yeah, KH 2.9 sounds odd.)I wish this were 100% possible, though probably only half of it is guaranteed, I'm hoping for DDD and Re:Coded combined. They both take place after Kingdom Hearts 2, and sure, 2.5 had BbS FM in it, but what else could they have done for that? A 0.5? I don't think so. It would be JUST before Kingdom Hearts 3, just like of how 2.9 is JUST before 3. That's my hopes anyway. Not sure if this is truly canon yet, but I mean, I don't want to be spoiled bit-by-bit of info just for that, so I'm not sure if I'd get this game even if it is legit.

HD Remaster KH3D with extra content  for PS3 and PS4 if its real of course. I can't see any other game that would make sense right now. It even says flow motion for 2.9 , there is no other game with that in it besides KH3 of course.

Not only that but Dream Drop Distance is the only KH game without a HD remaster.

We don't even know if this is real yet; im waiting for Square to officially announce something maybe at TGS. Until then im very skeptical; learned not to get my hopes up too quickly from waiting for FFXV lol

The boss planning is the strangest thing about this alleged 2.9So that makes me believe it could be KH 3D Final Mix or some sort of console version of X Chi. Also, Attraction Flow planning and documentation for 2.9?

I have no idea why they would have that unless it was something new...

A Collection of BBS, 1, 2, and 3D would be the best, though.

Dream Drop Distance final mix. Birth by Sleep Volume 2 will never be made just like that mystery Kingdom Hearts game that Nomura mention years ago.

I'm going with the KH3D HD Remaster + KHIII Demo.  But, the only bad thing about that would be that only the PS4 version would have the demo, hence the PS3 version wouldn't.  I really don't know what to make of this!  But for now, that's what I'm going with!
